A fatal accident in Watsonville monday morning claimed the life of a pedestrian. Just after 6 a.m., a vehicle driving southbound on main street struck a 77-year-old man crossing near Pennsylvania avenue. the victim was air lifted to a bay area trauma center, where he succumbed to his injuries. the 20-year-old male driver remained at the scene. police say he is cooperating with authorities, and that no criminal activity is suspected. The investigation is on-going.
