Turkey flats fire 07/10/12 tdh/af
Fire fighters from Cal-Fire and other agencies are battling a wildfire in Monterey County that has so far burned more than 27-hundred acres. The blaze erupted off of Chalome road (near Turkey Flats) around 11:30 a-m yesterday. as of this morning The fire is still about 30-percent contained. The blaze has burned a large swath of cattle land on a ranch in the area, but has not yet threatened any homes. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
