31-year-old Manuel Cabazuela was arrested by Watsonville Police Saturday afternoon after he was spotted in a car driving over the Pajaro Bridge. Officers were investigating Cabazuela after hearing that he illegally possessed a gun. Police arrested Cabazuela at after he jumped out of the car and attempted to escape on foot along Main Street near Riverside Drive. A loaded .45 caliber pistol was discovered in his waistband, and was found to have been stolen from a residence last November. Cabazuela is prohibited from having a gun due to domestic violence restraining orders. He was arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of a firearm, stolen property, carrying a loaded, concealed gun in public, resisting arrest, and a gang crime.
