NO MAJOR INJURIES WERE REPORTED IN AN ACCIDENT THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY AT MAIN STREET AND GREEN VALLEY ROAD IN WATSONVILLE. AT 11:45 AM, A JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE (DRIVEN BY A 31 YEAR OLD GILROY WOMAN WITH HER TWO CHILDREN), SLAMMED INTO THE SIDE OF A 1958 GMC WITH TWO MEN ABOARD. THE FORCE OF THE ACCIDENT FLIPPED THE GMC ONTO IT’S SIDE, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FULLY LOADED WITH WOOD CHIPS AND FOLIAGE, AND WAS TOWING A LARGE WOOD CHIPPER. SOUTHBOUND MAIN STREET, AT THE INCIDENT, WAS CLOSED FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS, WHILE THE DEBRIS WAS CLEARED, SLOWING THOUSANDS OF DRIVERS DURING THE NOONTIME TRAFFIC RUSH.
