Team representatives have unveiled a new logo and stadium sponsor for the nba d-league team set to move to santa cruz this fall. the developmental-league team is being re-named the santa cruz warriors in order to be more closely aligned with the team’s affiliate, the Oakland-based golden state warriors. The logo for the team was unveiled Tuesday at a ceremony at the crow’s nest restaurant in live oak. The logo bears a “w” resembling a trident. The words “santa cruz warriors” are set at the bottom of a circle enclosing the large “w”. The naming rights for the 32-hundred seat arena proposed for front street extension were awarded to Kaiser Permanente.
