Kelly McMillin will be sworn in during a ceremony today as the new police chief for the city of Salinas. McMillin has been with the Salinas Police Department for more than 20 years, and has been an integral part of the city’s fight against gangs. McMillin was serving as deputy chief when Louis Fetherolf retired from his position as chief in December of last year. The swearing in will be performed at a ceremony at the National Steinbeck Center in Salinas at 11am today.
