THE PAJARO VALLEY COMMUNITY HEALTH TRUST RELEASED THE NAMES OF THE CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS TO WHICH IT HAS GIVEN MONEY IN THE LAST YEAR. THE TRUST AIMS TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO PROJECTS THAT WILL HELP TO LOWER LEVELS OF DIABETES AND OBESITY, AND RAISE STANDARDS OF ORAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH AMONG RESIDENTS OF THE PAJARO VALLEY. THE LARGEST GRANT, TOTALING 457 THOUSAND DOLLARS, WAS GIVEN TO THE DIABETES HEALTH CENTER. SEVERAL SMALLER GRANTS WERE GIVEN TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS HEALTHY KIDS OF SANTA CRUZ COUNTY AND THE WATSONVILLE FAMILY YMCA.
