a pajaro valley elementary school has been recognized as a 2012 california distinguished school. linscott charter school, one of california’s oldest charter schools, was among 387 elementary schools in the state named for its innovative education programs. administrators at linscott charter school say that parent participation has been key to the school’s success and student’s high test scores. the elm street school was the only honoree from santa cruz county.
