A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to 1-year in santa cruz county jail, after being convicted of felony D-U-I. Donovan Hicks Barclay was also sentenced wednesday to 5-years of probation for the November, 2010 incident. Barclay crashed into a tree on summit road near bayview road, and suffered major injuries. He was the only person involved in the solo-vehicle wreck. He is expected to serve only half of his year-long sentence in jail, while the other half is to be spent in an alcohol-rehabilitation program. Barclay was previously convicted of vehicular manslaughter, after being involved in a fatal accident in 2007 that killed his 2-cousins.
