29 new members of americorps are set to head out to projects around the state today. a “conservationist boot camp” was held at the louden nelson center this weekend, with training on wilderness first-aid, no-trace-left-behind camping, and more. the program provides food and housing while members work on conservation projects on federal, state, and private land. at the end of the program, members receive about 27-hundred dollars for use on past or future education costs. for more information on americorps, visit online at
