The local affiliate of habitat for humanity has a new executive director. David foster is taking the helm at habitat for humanity santa cruz county. he replaces Melanie Shaffer freitas, (who left last December). Foster is a santa cruz city planning commissioner; he has lived in santa cruz since 1958. his first task will be to continue fundraising efforts for a project on scotts valley’s blake lane.
