a 100-thousand square foot retail center in corral de tierra has been given the green light by the monterey county board of supervisors. the plan was approved after more than an hour of public comments for and against at a hearing held yesterday. the project has been scaled back from an original design of 125-thousand square feet. proposed tenants for the center include a grocery store and restaurant or café.
