“strike” removed from Lamb’s case 02/05/12 3:35p.m. TDH

a felony “strike” has been removed from the criminal record of james lamb, a convicted sex-offender living in Monterey county.   Despite failing to register on time last September, a Monterey county judge granted a request by prosecutors not to pursue felony charges.  Lamb is still facing charges related to the lapse, but the maximum penalty will now be 3-years in prison, (instead of 6-years).  Lamb is scheduled to return to court on February 21st.   Lamb was released from prison in 2009; he is required to register with authorities every 90-days.
