a gilroy man has been charged with 2 counts of child molestation. 19 year old chris gene smith was arrested last week after reports that he allegedly performed lewd acts on a 4 year old girl. if convicted of the charges against him, smith faces 15 years to life in prison. he’s due back in court for a plea hearing on january 27th.
