law enforcement officials in santa cruz county have said the “county most wanted list” is a helpful tool in making arrests. the program began in january 2011, and has netted 95 arrests or surrenders by offenders. about 1 in 3 suspects listed on the most wanted list were apprehended. the weekly list is compiled from information from watsonville, santa cruz, scotts valley, capitola, california highway patrol, and the santa cruz county sheriff’s office.
