Santa cruz county representatives have settled a legal claim against an ohio-based operation, that had been misleading California customers. The suit was filed 3-years ago, against ohio-based universal syndications incorporated, world reserve monetary exchange, and an individual, Rodney napier. The companies, (as well as napier), are banned from advertising supposedly “free” gift items in California. The suit stemmed from a santa cruz county resident that ordered coins, which were advertised as free. He was instead billed more than 1-hundred dollars. the companies were fined 223-thousand dollars, and ordered to pay 10-thousand dollars in restitution.
