2-fremont women are facing misdemeanor charges for taking snails from a pacific grove tide-pool last year. 43-year-old yanli li and 47-year-old jing yang are accused of removing 2-buckets full of black turban snails from pools at lovers point. It is illegal to remove wildlife from the monterey bay national marine sanctuary. The 2-are being tried separately. Li’s trial has begun, while yang is set to go to trial in march.
