two salinas residents were arrested friday in scotts valley, on suspicion of possessing burglary tools. scotts valley police officers responded to reports of suspicious people in the scotts village shopping center around 9:30 p.m. officers found a woman in a vehicle listening to a police scanner and a man hiding under a blanket. also found in the vehicle were items commonly used in burglaries such as pry bars and face masks. 30 year old miroslava duran and 41 year old mario martinez were arrested and booked into santa cruz county jail.
