a monterey county teenager was arrested in sacramento less than 24 hours after he escaped from a conservation camp in amador county yesterday. angel iniquez was working with the pine grove conservation camp on a roadside cleanup project when he was driven away by 2 accomplices. california department of corrections officers were distracted by another crew member who had cut his leg with a chainsaw. corrections officers¸with aid from the sacramento police department and the u.s. marshall service, tracked iniquez to a residence in sacramento, where he was arrested without incident at 2:30 a.m.
iniquez was the first juvenile in 7 years to escape from the pine grove conservation.
