A salinas police officer was injured on Tuesday afternoon, when he was struck by a car. the motorcycle officer was riding northbound on church street, when a southbound driver attempted to make a left-hand turn onto west san luis street. The jaguar struck the officer, who rolled onto the car’s hood and broke the windshield. The officer was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital, and released. The jaguar driver was cited, and released after the 12:30 p.m. incident.
