two santa cruz teenagers were arrested on wednesday for possessing knives on school campus. santa cruz police officers responded to the alternative school campus on la fonda avenue just after noon to reports of students concealing knives in their waistbands. the students were cooperative, and told officers that the knives were for protection from students at other schools. 18 year old santiago robledo was booked into santa cruz county jail on suspicion of possessing a weapon on school grounds, while a 14 year old suspect was booked into juvenile hall.
