About 4-thousand nurses with bay area sutter hospitals are set to strike later this month. Members of the California nurses association plan to strike for 1-day, on December 22nd. About 8-hospitals will be affected, however the action is not expected to impact services at sutter maternity and surgery center of santa cruz. The strike comes amid several disagreements between the nurses association and hospital officials, ranging from staffing levels to health insurance contributions. Hospital administrators are reportedly planning to hire temporary replacements during the strike.
