The pajaro valley unified school district has extended the school year by 1 week this year. Students are now scheduled to get out for summer break on june 8th, instead of june 1st. the move is expected to cost 2-point-8 million dollars. As part of the agreement, 5-furlough days for faculty have been canceled. District leaders also plan to hire 26-teachers aides, known as intervention teachers, to help with over-sized classes.
