A 35 year old man was sentenced thursday in a Monterey county courtroom, to life in prison. Johnny angel martinez will be eligible for parole in 15 years. Martinez pleaded “no contest” in October, for his role in the murder of 23-year-old Javier Tovar. Tovar was shot to death in may of 2009, on Williams road. Martinez provided the gun that was used in the murder.
