thanksgiving is right around the corner, and some local charities still need volunteers and food donations to help those in need. dorothy’s place hospitality center is in need of food, for the more than 1-thousand people expected to show up on thanksgiving. while the community thanksgiving feast in castroville has enough food, but volunteers to help prepare that food is needed. those interested can show up at the castroville recreation center from 1:30 p.m to 6:30 p.m. through wednesday.
