members of the occupy santa cruz movement were contacted by the santa cruz city attorney to be informed that the city will pursue legal action against their encampment in san lorenzo park. city officials announced that they will ask for a court order for occupy santa cruz to appear in court to show cause and to prove that the court system should not grant an injunction evicting the protestors from san lorenzo park.
last week, the city issued a permit limiting the number of tents to 50, and ordering that the encampment be disassembled by november 16th.
