Authorities are investigating what sparked a large fight at salinas valley state prison thursday afternoon. About 120-inmates were estimated to have been involved in the fight, which broke out just after 3 p.m. guards at the soledad facility deployed pepper spray and other chemicals, as well as non-lethal aummuntion, before resorting to live rounds. Nobody was shot by the real bullets. 4-inmates were injured in the fight, no prison staff were hurt.
