the santa cruz harbor patrol has issued a warning to stay away from humpback whales when out on the water. a kayaker was capsized by a whale on saturday, but luckily that person righted their kayak and was unharmed. harbor patrol RECOMMENDS that everyone out on a kayak or other watercrafts wear a life jacket, practice self-rescue and carry a vhf radio.
