The “avoid the 18” traffic enforcement campaign comes to monterey county this halloween. Extra DUI enforcement will be deployed on Monday evening, as officers look for drunk drivers, as well as drivers without seatbelts, and drivers talking on cellphones. The extra enforcement is funded by a grant from the national highway traffic safety administration.
