a scotts valley man was arrested last week on suspicion of attempted murder and carjacking in senora. 18 year-old richard souza had been driving on state park drive in aptos when he hit a deer. california highway patrol officers responded to the crash to find that the car was stolen and the driver had fled from the scene. souza was quickly found, and arrested on suspicion of felony car theft. tuolumne county sheriff’s deputies believe souza is involved with an august 23rd stabbing and robbery as well as a car-jacking. he was taken to tuolumne county for a court hearing.
