a preliminary hearing was held yesterday for a santa cruz man who caused a lockdown of cabrillo college in march, after threatening to shoot students at the campus. 45-year-old nigel self never fired a shot at cabrillo, but faces charges of criminal threats. self was a student at the school at the time of the march 14th incident. he faces up to 18 months in prison if convicted.
