a retired hollister police sergeant has been arrested on suspicion of embezzling over 100-thousand dollars from the police department’s union while he was president. 53 year-old ray wood surrendered to custody last week at san benito county jail. he was released on 60-thousand dollars bail. wood is due in court for a hearing on september 20th.
