a watsonville man has been sentenced after being found guilty of raping a woman on east lake avenue in 2009. 28 year-old rene hernandez raped a 56-year-old woman while she was walking home one night in february of 2009. he was convicted on counts of forcible rape and assault. hernandez was given the maximum sentence of 30 years to life.
