A 2nd man was convicted of murder on tuesday, in the 2009 killing of 19-year-old angel Escobedo. Escobedo was shot on a Watsonville basketball court, in the apple hill neighborhood. A jury today found jose avelino Sandoval guilty of murder, however he was spared gang enhancements. Despite that, Sandoval still could receive a life-sentence. Last week, julian Escobar was also found guilty of the murder.
