watsonville police used a taser to subdue a man during a d.u.i. arrest because they thought he had a gun on sunday. officers responded to east lake avenue at 7:45 p.m. to reports of a man with a handgun who was threatening to shoot people. 34 year-old othon grajeda solis was sitting in his car when police told him to sit behind the wheel with his hands up. solis got out of the car, urinated, and backed up to officers. a taser was discharged after solis ignored requests to stop. no one was injured in the incident.
