A 21-year-old man was arrested in salinas yesterday. At 4:14 a.m. Salinas police officers noticed a vehicle that matched the description of one involved in a hit and run. During a search of the vehicle, (on north madiera and Roosevelt street), officers found marijuana, cocaine, a scale, a revolver and other illegal items. The driver, ivan Munoz, was arrested, and booked into Monterey county jail. Officers determined that he was not involved in the hit and run, however Munoz now faces several weapons and drug-related charges, along with gang enhancements.
