Watsonville police arrested 2-men on Friday, for possession of explosives and several firearms. Members of the department’s gang unit, (along with a santa cruz county sheriff’s swat team), raided a residence at 20 felix drive, just before 1 p.m. police say they found a total of 4-handguns, 2-shotguns, and 4-rifles. Members of the military explosive ordinance disposal unit (from travis air force base) were called to the scene, after a smoke grenade and a hand grenade were found. The ordnances were detonated at watsonville’s landfill. 33-year-old aaron Hernandez and 55-year-old Gordon weber were taken into custody; they are facing several possible charges.
