The 28-year old soquel man who is accused of intentionally driving the wrong way on highway-17 (in santa cruz), entered a plea of not guilty today, to 1-count of murder. eric weers entered the wrong direction of the highway from ocean street, and collided head on with a vehicle driven by 48-year-old ana luz Barajas. barajas died at the scene; weers was unhurt. he is due back in court on august 30th, to set a date for a preliminary hearing.
