city officials in salinas have requested that vendors who do business with the city lower the prices of their goods and services by 10 percent or more. over 650 letters were sent out to businesses and INDIVIDUALS who do business with the city, asking them to voluntarily lower their prices. so far 43 vendors pledged to cut their prices, saving the city 70-thousand dollars.
