The board of trustees for the soquel union elementary school district had given preliminary approval, to a plan to keep smaller class sizes. The vote on wednesday reversed an earlier decision to eliminate the “class size reduction” program. The average class size was set to increase to 29 students, however the reversal means that classes should remain at their current size of about 22-students. The move is expected to be finalized on august 3rd.
