The release-hearing for a man convicted of several violent crimes, was continued today until next week. A Monterey county judge is nmow scheduled to consider the conditional release of eldridge Lindsey chaney on july 7th. The 58-year-old former seaside resident has been living in a state mental hospital in coalinga, going through a sexually violent predator program. The 5th stage of that program is conditional release. If he is granted his request, chaney would be required to live in Monterey county, under state supervision.
