– FIREWORKS ARE ALSO NOT ALLOWED IN ANY STATE OR COUNTY PARK OR ON FEDERAL OR STATE PROPERTY….INCLUDING MILITARY INSTALLATIONS.
– WHILE IN THE CITY OF SAN JUAN BAUTISTA SAFE AND SANE FIREWORKS CAN BE SOLD….BUT NOT USED.
– ON PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF CAPITOLA “SAFE AND SANE” FIREWORKS CAN BE USED…..BUT NOT SOLD.
THE FOLLOWING ARE CITIES WHERE “SAFE AND SANE” FIREWORKS CAN BE BOTH BOUGHT AND USED:
WATSONVILLE, SEASIDE, MARINA, GREENFIELD, SOLEDAD, GONZALES, SALINAS, HOLLISTER, AND GILROY.
Per the California Health and Safety Code, any person in possession of a classified “Dangerous” firework is in violation of the law, and subject to arrest and imprisonment. THOSE FIREWORKS THAT ARE CONSIDERED DANGEROUS WOULD BE ANY THAT EXPLODE, RISE INTO THE AIR, OR MOVE ACROSS THE GROUND….AS WELL AS THOSE THAT DISCHARGE FLAMING BALLS THAT CAN EXPLODE, OR CONTAIN POISONOUS CHEMICALS, OR TRAVEL GREAT DISTANCES.
