An early morning fire at the Palomar hotel in santa cruz today(th) is believed to have started accidentally. The 1:10 a.m. fire was extinguished by the hotel’s fire sprinkler-system. The 5th-floor room that the flames started in was damaged, as were 2-business below the hotel, (which is on the 13-hundred block of pacific avenue). Santa cruz firefighters responded to the incident, to ensure the flames were out. No injuries were reported.
