The capitola city council is set to consider a proposal tomorrow (thurs), that would authorize the sale of a local mobile-home park. Council members will also consider issuing tax-exempt bonds, to facilitate the sale of castle mobile estates to a non-profit group. That group, millennium housing, is also expected to receive a loan from the city’s redevelopment agency to acquire the park, whose current owner has challenged capitola’s rent-control ordinance several times. If the sale is approved, rents would increase at the 38-avenue park, however subsidies would be available for those who qualify. The council is scheduled to consider that matter at its meeting scheduled for 7 p.m., the hearing is open to the public.
