Salinas police announced that they arrested a man on Wednesday, who had been wanted for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend on Tuesday. 44-year-old jesse escarcega was taken into custody on the 1-hundred block of west market street, after he was seen by patrol officers. He is accused of stabbing his girlfriend multiple times, on west market street. The victim was air-lifted to a bay area hospital, and is expected to recover. Escarcega was booked into monterey county jail on suspicion of attempted murder.
