Dominican Hospital has been given an environmental award by a national organization. The Hospital was named by the organization Practice Greenhealth as one of the members of the 2011 Environmental Leadership Council. Domincan is 1 of 3 California hospitals to be recognized, for criteria including being mercury-free, recycling at least 25-percent of its waste, and other programs. It’s the 6th consecutive year Dominican Hospital has been recognized for its environmental policies.
