Phoenix woman was sentenced yesterday to spend 3-years in prison for embezzling nearly 4-million dollars from 24 cities including Santa Cruz and San Francisco. Belinda Exon, the president of Huntington Beach-based Rehab Financial Services, pleaded guilty to taking over 1-million dollars of grant money and other funds in escrow from San Francisco and 34,000 dollars from Santa Cruz. Exon admitted to embezzling the money from a federally funded project that was administered by the Santa Cruz Redevelopment Agency. Her prison term begins in June.
