Officials with Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital have announced that 200 employees will be laid off by June 15th. The layoff notifications have been sent to employees in a range of positions, including management and part-time workers. A cash equivalent of up to $5000 is also being offered to employees who agree to leave by the end of this month. The jobs being cut represent 150 full-time equivalent positions.
