Cal-Trans has announced that crews have cleared enough of a mudslide from Highway-1 in Alder Creek to re-open that section of the road. That section of the highway in Monterey County had been closed since late last month, when heavy rain caused a mudslide. The road has been re-opened to traffic from 7 a.m. to 7p.m., however all restrictions have now been lifted. Meanwhile, Highway-1 at Rocky Creek is still closed in both directions. Drivers can be escorted past the site, twice a day, at 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Crews hope to have that section re-opened sometime in May.
