Authorities in Marina are investigating a homicide in the city, following the shooting death of a teenager. The 17-year-old victim was brought to Natividad Medical Center just before 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso, and was pronounced dead after doctors were unable to revive him. The victim’s friend told police officers that they had been shot at in Marina, and officers are investigating if the incident was related to a shooting that they responded to earlier in the night. In that incident, a victim was shot at, (but not hit), on the 2-hundred-block of Cypress Avenue.
